BOSS DOG CO. · DIRECT BOOKINGS

Terms for direct bookings

Last updated October 25, 2026.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Boss Dog Co. is The Boss Dog Co. LLC, an Arizona company based in Laveen. Gina Wilt provides the care. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Boss Dog Co., and “you” means the owner who books.

These terms apply to daycare and boarding booked directly with us, through the stay request on thebossdogco.com or by email. They do not apply to stays booked through Rover or Wag, which follow those platforms’ terms. If you first connected with us on Rover or Wag, please keep booking there.

These terms work together with the stay guidelines and the care agreement you sign. If they ever disagree, the signed care agreement controls.

2. Requests and confirmation

A stay request is not a reservation, and we may decline any request. A stay can be up to 14 nights. A direct stay is booked in this order:

  1. You send a stay request and email your dog’s vaccine records from your veterinarian.
  2. We check the dates, the records, and whether the stay suits your dog, and reply by email.
  3. If it is a good fit, we confirm the dates and send the care agreement and a deposit invoice.
  4. Your stay is confirmed when we have both a signed care agreement that covers the stay and the 50% deposit. A care agreement covers stays that start within 12 months of signing.

We hold offered dates for the time stated in our email. If the agreement and deposit are not in by then, we may release the dates.

3. Rates and payment

Rates come in Gina’s reply to your request. We invoice from The Boss Dog Co. LLC, and you can pay by card or bank transfer.

  • The 50% deposit, with a signed care agreement, confirms your dates.
  • The balance is due at drop-off.
  • Anything added during the stay, such as a late pick-up, is invoiced at pick-up.

4. Changes and cancellations

If you cancel: cancellation is free until 7 days before the first day of the stay, and you get your deposit back. After that, the deposit is kept. For holiday stays, cancellation is free until 14 days before. Holiday stays are any night from the Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the Sunday after, and December 20 through January 2. A change of dates counts as a cancellation and a new booking. If your dog is unwell, or a female comes into heat, and you tell us before drop-off, we move your deposit to new dates within six months instead.

If we cancel: if illness, an emergency, or anything else means we cannot care for your dog safely, we will tell you as soon as we know and refund everything you paid for that stay.

Early pick-up and no-shows: nights booked are charged in full, including when you pick up early. If your dog does not arrive for a confirmed stay, the deposit is kept.

5. Health, vaccines, and records

Your dog must be at least 4 months old, current on rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines, on flea and tick prevention, and licensed where you live. Please email vaccine records from your veterinarian with your stay request. We confirm a stay only after we have seen them, and each vaccine must be current through the last day of the stay. We are not able to care for service, emotional support, or therapy dogs, or for protection, guard, police, or other working dogs.

We may not be able to accept a dog at drop-off who is unwell, has fleas or ticks, is a female in heat, or whose records are missing. If that happens, the cancellation terms in section 4 apply.

You understand that a vaccinated dog can still catch kennel cough, canine flu, and other illnesses, and can pick up fleas, ticks, or other parasites, and that this risk comes with any time around other dogs or outdoors.

6. Behavior

Please tell us everything you know about your dog’s behavior, including any biting, growling, guarding of food or toys, fear, or escape attempts. We do not accept dogs with a history of aggression, biting, or attacking a person or another animal.

If your dog becomes very stressed, unwell, or unsafe around people or other dogs during a stay, we may keep your dog apart and end the stay. You or your emergency contact will need to pick up within 4 hours, and nights booked are charged in full.

You are responsible for injury or damage your dog causes to people, animals, or property, including during a stay, except where it was caused by our negligence.

7. Medication

We give medication by mouth or on the skin only, from its original labeled container, following your written instructions. We do not give injections. You are responsible for the effects of any medication given as you instructed.

8. Veterinary care and emergencies

Gina is trained in pet first aid and CPR through Pet Tech. She is not a veterinarian.

If your dog seems unwell or is hurt, we contact you right away, and your veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary hospital. Care follows the instructions and spending limit in your care agreement. You pay all veterinary costs, including the cost of getting your dog there, except for an injury caused by our negligence.

You are responsible for veterinary costs for conditions your dog had before the stay, and for conditions common to your dog’s breed. For flat-faced dogs, that includes breathing problems; for many small and short-legged breeds, kneecap (patellar) and back problems; and for many breeds, hip dysplasia.

Only you or your emergency contact can make an end-of-life decision for your dog. We never make that decision.

9. Care during the stay

We follow the routine you give us. Your dog has its own dedicated area in the house and yard. Gina’s dogs are kept separate from your dog unless you and Gina agree otherwise in your care agreement, and any time together happens only with Gina right there. Walks are on leash, and off-leash time happens only inside the fenced dog run. You get a text with a photo each morning and evening.

Dogs are animals, and even careful care cannot rule out every injury, illness, escape, or stress, including stings and bites from insects, spiders, or scorpions, and parasites such as fleas and ticks. We will tell you right away about any injury, illness, or incident.

10. Pick-up, late pick-up, and unclaimed dogs

Drop-off and pick-up are by appointment between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Arriving more than 2 hours after the agreed pick-up time, unless arranged, adds a day at the daycare rate.

If your dog is not picked up within 24 hours of the agreed time and we cannot reach you or your emergency contact, we will keep caring for your dog at our usual rate and may take the steps Arizona law allows when an animal is left at a boarding facility, including written notice by certified mail to your last known address.

11. Photos and updates

Updates and photos during a stay are for you. We share a photo of your dog publicly only if you say yes in your care agreement, and we never share your name, address, or schedule.

12. Your information

We use what you tell us only to care for your dog and to contact you. The privacy notice explains what we collect and how long we keep it.

13. Limits of our responsibility

To the extent Arizona law allows, we are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, or death of your dog, or for loss of or damage to belongings, unless it was caused by our negligence or willful misconduct. We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as changed travel plans or lost earnings.

14. Offers

Finishing the “Find the frenchies?” game on this site (or the earlier “Where’s Dex’s tennis ball?” game) takes 10% off a dog’s first direct stay booked through the stay request by January 31, 2027 (code FRENCHIES10). Founding-tester nights follow the invitation.

Offer codes:

  • BOSSDOG25: 25% off one daycare day or boarding stay per household, for stays from November 9, 2026 to January 31, 2027, booked directly through thebossdogco.com.
  • BOSSDOG50: 50% off flat-faced pup cups and custom lithophanes ordered at thebossdogco.com by December 31, 2026.
  • SMALLDOGWIN (Small Dog winner) and BIGDOGWIN (Big Dog winner): each code covers 50% off one night of boarding, for a night between November 15 and December 31, 2026, booked directly through thebossdogco.com, and 50% off one custom dog lithophane, ordered at thebossdogco.com between November 15 and December 31, 2026. One night and one lithophane per winner.

None of these codes can be combined with other offers, including FRENCHIES10. For BOSSDOG25 and BOSSDOG50, if more than one offer applies, the bigger discount applies. Rates, dates, and acceptance are confirmed before any stay. Offers apply only to stays booked directly through thebossdogco.com and orders placed at thebossdogco.com.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day your stay is confirmed applies to that stay.

16. Arizona law

These terms are governed by Arizona law. If something goes wrong, please talk with us first. Any dispute that cannot be settled that way will be handled in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
