BOSS DOG CO. · WEBSITE PRIVACY

A little information.
A clear purpose.

Effective October 1, 2026. Updated October 25, 2026. This notice covers thebossdogco.com: its signup and stay request forms and its analytics. Bookings, payments, and messages on Wag or Rover follow those platforms’ own privacy notices.

What the forms collect

Every form asks for your first name, your email address, and your consent. The care form also asks which service you’re interested in, how you’d like to book, and, optionally, when you might first need care. The app form optionally asks for your dog’s breed, your city or region, and whether you’d also like daycare and boarding updates. The products form asks which product you would like to hear about and, optionally, which message you would like inside the pup cup and who a lithophane is for, and any offer code you enter. Please don’t send photos through it. Please don’t put pet medical records, payment information, or your home address in a form.

Stay requests

The stay request form on the care page asks for your name, email address, optional phone number, the service and dates you have in mind, your dog’s name, breed, age, and spay or neuter status, how your dog does with other dogs, anything you choose to tell us, any offer code you enter, and that you agree to the terms for direct bookings. Netlify stores the request and emails it to us. We use it only to reply and to arrange care. It isn’t added to an email list unless you tick the box for care-launch updates. A request is not a reservation, and no payment is taken on this site. If you book directly, your care agreement and invoice are handled by email.

Care agreements

When you book a direct stay, we ask you to sign a care agreement. It holds your contact details, an emergency contact, your veterinarian, and your dog’s health, vaccine, and behavior information. We use it only to care for your dog and to reach you, and we keep it privately. We share it only when needed: with a veterinarian treating your dog, your emergency contact, our insurer if there is a claim, or when the law requires it. Our email, file storage, and invoicing services hold it for us. We keep signed agreements and vaccine records for six years after your dog’s last stay, or longer if a claim is open, then delete them.

What it is used for

To send the updates you chose: care-launch news and booking links, app early-testing invitations, the monthly Arizona dog-safety note, or a note when the pup cup or custom lithophanes are ready to order. Each list is separate. Joining one does not add you to another unless you tick the box that says so. No payment is collected and no reservation is made on this site. Stay requests are answered by email (see above).

Where submissions go

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, which hosts this website, and sent to MailerLite, the service we use for email. For the monthly note and app early testing, MailerLite asks you to confirm your email address before anything else is sent. Care-launch signups don’t need that step. Pup cup update requests stay in Netlify and aren’t sent to MailerLite; we email you from our own inbox when the cup is ready. We don’t sell your details or share them for advertising.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used: pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and how visitors arrived (for example, from Instagram). We also count signups and clicks on our Rover, Wag, and video hello links, without recording what you typed. We use this to improve the site and don’t use it for advertising. You can opt out with your browser’s privacy settings or Google’s opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).

Games

The small games on this site (Find the frenchies?, Safe or skip?, and Dog fact or fetch?) keep your progress in your own browser’s storage, so you can pick up where you left off. It stays on your device and isn’t sent to us. Analytics counts when a game starts and finishes, with the final score, but not your individual answers. If you find all six frenchies, the stay request form on the care page adds the game’s 10% code to your request, and it reaches us only if you send that request.

Video hello

If you book a video hello from the care page, Calendly collects your name, email address, and anything you choose to share, and sends the calendar invitation. The call runs on Zoom. Both follow their own privacy notices. Please don’t share pet medical records or your home address there.

Other services

Links to Wag, Rover, Calendly, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok open services with their own privacy notices. The site serves its own fonts and does not request fonts from Google. Your light or dark theme choice is not stored on your device.
