LAVEEN, ARIZONA · ABOUT US

Meet Gina
and the pack.

Boss Dog Co. is home-based dog care in Laveen, run by Gina Wilt, with three resident dogs who have a say in things.

HI, I’M GINA.

A pet professional.
A fellow dog person.

I’m a pet professional trained in pet first aid and CPR through Pet Tech. Boss Dog Co. started as the dog-loving corner of Thrive Vibes: field notes, dog-friendly days out, and a lot of questions about planning around flat-faced dogs in Arizona heat.

In November 2026 it becomes daycare and boarding in my home in Laveen, booked directly with me or through Rover and Wag. What matters to me is the individual dog: their routine, what helps them settle, and how they feel about other dogs. We talk about all of it before a stay, and a meet-and-greet is there if you would like one, never a requirement.

I’m not a veterinarian, and Boss Dog Co. is not a veterinary practice. When a question is medical, your dog’s veterinarian is the right person, and I’ll say so.

THE RESIDENT PACK

Three dogs, three routines.

Doug, Dex, and Sky live here full time. Your dog has a routine of their own, and that is the first thing we ask about.

Doug, a cream French bulldog, sitting in a dog car seat and looking out the side window

Doug

French bulldog · The face on the logo

A low bed. A good view. Several opinions. Bed placement is one of them, and so is who gets the window on a car ride.

Dex, a dark French bulldog in a harness, sniffing a wooden bench just inside a taproom entrance

Dex

French bulldog · Professional snuggler

Dexter, Dex for short. A sweetheart snuggler with a tennis ball obsession: he carries one everywhere and dribbles it between his front paws like a soccer player. He is also the dog in most of our day-out photos, including the Tortoise Route.

Sky, a gray Labrador with a green Happy National Dog Day bandana, sitting on a couch

Sky

Labrador · The one in charge

Sweet, a little anxious, and the pack’s alpha. Anything new gets studied from behind the furniture first. Doug has opinions about who is in charge. Sky is in charge.

HOW WE WORK

A few things
we hold to.

  • The dog comes first.Breed is a starting point. Routine, comfort, and whether time with other dogs suits them decide the rest.
  • Flat faces and short legs in mind.Flat-faced dogs (like French bulldogs and pugs) and lowriders (short-legged dogs, like corgis and dachshunds) need extra thought about heat, breathing, stairs, and jumping. Other canine friends are welcome.
  • Sources you can check.Health and safety notes name their sources and the month we checked them. How we check our guides.
  • Plain status. We say what is ready and what is planned. Care begins November 2026; the Boss Dog app is in development, and founding testers who test for three weeks get a night of boarding in Laveen on us.
  • Giving back.3% of revenue goes to a mix of dog rescue, advocacy, and wellness causes.
